 Having worked for Ary Hoffmann since 1999 I have been involved in many interesting projects undertaken by CESAR.  These range from investigating pesticide resistance in earth mites to characterising the heritability of stress resistance traits in rainforest Drosophila species.  Over the last few years I have been primarily involved in research attempting to identify the genetic basis of stress resistance.  I am currently involved in projects that utilise qtl mapping and micro array expression analysis to investigate stress resistant selected lines.
